We are thrilled about the massive blessing God has given us and give Him all the praise for this.

In the next day or two or week I will become very quiet on DM’s and emails for a while as I will be full-on drunk on baby-milk-breath.

Macrame! Oh what a joy! I first learned to do this 18 years ago- at that time it was a very hush-hush 80’s skill that over the past few years just took a boom. For good reason!

Here is a little TRY-IT-THURSDAY on a Wednesday. Because I should have known scheduling things doesn’t suite my style.

Here I only used a SQUARE KNOT. So if you can’t make out the step on the video, just youtube that.

Off course there are SO MANY awesome macrame knots to learn. But getting the hang of only one, will already allow you to make so many cool things! Plant hangers, baskets, shopping bags.

Here I decided to pull out my handspun Karakulia wools that I bought in Swakopmund. BUT working with different thicknessess (how many s’es can one word have?) is probs not the best starting point.

My recommendation for getting all your macrame goods (including kits and patterns) would be @estie_craft_shop

I have so much fun “snuffeling” out lost treasure and yesterdays greatness - to lift it right into our wonderful eclectic 2024!

This weekend, I was just blown away (as always) about how much I love Mosselbay and Oudtshoorn. I decided to jot down some of the places (not a full list at all) that we enjoyed - and maybe you can too? (I also added our favourite coffee spots, because off course).
